Frequently asked questions
How Do I Book a Fit To Flatter Class?
To book a Fit to Flatter workshop for your shop or Group you will need to contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your shop name, location, and approximate time of year. 2018 is nearly booked so please submit your inquires ASAP.
Is there a Min or Max Number of Students
I charge a flat fee per day, not per student. Once a date is choosen and deposit paid, then it will be up to you to fill the class. I can handle up to 12 comfortably, by myself, but will need a helper if more students are enrolled. We may also need to discuss extending the time table alloted if adding more students.
How long do the classes run?
The Fit To Flatter workshop is a two day class that typically runs from 9am-3pm or 10am -4pm each day with an approximate 30min-45min lunch break.
How much space is needed?
Your shop should be able to sit each student comfortablly with plenty of room to cut out and trace their design. If your shop is not big enough, I would suggest hiring a local hall. It is best if each student has their own table or only shares with one other person. You will also need 2-3 ironing boards set up.
What products do I need to order?
On this page is a list, that you can download, of products that I promote and sell during the class. Each one is extremely important, so if you are unsure about a product, where to source it, or if you need it, please feel free to email me.
Will students need to bring an overlocker/serger?
To take this class your students don't have to own or bring their overlocker. However, it is recommended that they bring one if they have it on the second day. Also, if you sell sewing machines, it would be a great idea to have a few set up for the students to test and use.
What about Travel?
All travel expenses are to be paid by the shop. To alleviate the cost, I do typically try to book several workshops close together so that the cost of travel can be split amongst the shop. I will take care of the booking, purchasing, and hiring of car (if needed) to ensure the cheapest rate possible, and then split it amongst the shops.
Is there a deposit?
Yes. Once a date is set, I will send you a contract to be signed as well as an invoice for a 25% deposit.
What is your daily fee?
Please email email@example.com to discuss daily fee.
